Cyber Architect
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Architect to provide guidance on cyber security architecture, risk management, and compliance. This role involves contributing to secure-by-design initiatives, advising on risks and controls, and ensuring systems align with government standards. The position is initially for 4 months, with potential for extension, with an immediate start, and is classified at the ASO7 level.
As a Cyber Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing secure infrastructure, systems, and applications. You will provide specialist advice on cyber security architecture to ensure solutions meet organisational needs while adhering to relevant government standards and regulations. Your expertise will be essential in identifying risks, designing effective controls, and supporting secure-by-design activities across various projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cyber Security Architecture Advice: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement secure solutions that are robust, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices. Provide technical guidance to ensure the successful delivery of secure systems.
- Secure-by-Design Contributions: Lead or contribute to secure-by-design initiatives by developing documentation, frameworks, and processes that embed security into all stages of system development life cycles.
- Risk Management & Advisory Services: Conduct risk assessments and provide specialist advisory services to management and staff regarding cyber risks and controls. Recommend tailored mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all systems comply with relevant government standards, regulations, and policies. Proactively identify compliance gaps and work towards addressing them effectively.
This role requires analytical skills, communication abilities, and an understanding of cyber security principles. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of security awareness while driving innovative solutions that protect sensitive data and systems.
