Project Manager - SAP Server Migration

A prominent state government department is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a complex, enterprise-wide SAP server migration. This strategic initiative will modernise the organisation’s core infrastructure, enhance system performance, and support long-term digital transformation goals.

The successful candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of the migration project, ensuring alignment with government standards, stakeholder expectations, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP server migration across multiple business units
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
• Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and technical specialists
• Ensure compliance with public sector governance, data protection, and procurement protocols
• Engage with stakeholders across executive, operational, and technical domains
• Oversee change management, training, and transition planning
• Provide regular reporting to senior leadership and steering committees

Key Requirements

• Proven experience managing enterprise-level SAP server migrations or implementations
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, infrastructure, and cloud migration strategies
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Familiarity with government frameworks, procurement processes, and reporting standards
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) preferred
• Experience in public sector environments highly desirable
