Senior SRE Support Engineer - Red Hat, OpenShift

Responsibilities:

• The SRE/Support Engineer will provide quality tier 2 and 3 technical support to end users and will be engaged in a diverse range of engineering activities and projects.
• The role will broadly involve assisting in the delivery of complex technical projects, conducting root cause analysis investigations, or identifying areas for process management improvement.

Skills:

• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (Python, Java, C#, Ruby, JavaScript).
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms, container orchestration (Red Hat Open Shift, Kubernetes etc) and bare metal environments to support scalable customer deployments.
• Excellent knowledge of configuration management and infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) to automate operations.

2 important pieces of information:

• This SRE role does NOT involve public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) - the client has a bespoke private cloud so if you are only interested in working with public cloud, this may not be the role for you.
• This role will involve getting an NV1 clearance and requires an Australian Citizen who either has a traceable last 10 years of history working in Australia (you cannot have had a break and worked overseas in the last 10 years) or has a current/active baseline or NV1 clearance.
