IT Support Technician (8 month contract)

As an IT Support Technician based in Sydney, you will provide day to day technical support to ensure smooth business operations. This includes responding to user requests, troubleshooting issues remotely and on-site and maintaining core systems. You’ll work closely with the IT team, communicate clearly with users of varying technical ability and uphold consistent service standards while continuing to build your technical skills.

About the role:

You’ll provide day to day IT support to end users, resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues across the business. The role involves a mix of desktop and remote support, incident management and collaboration with the wider IT team to keep systems running smoothly.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide Level 1–2 desktop and user support in a team environment
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and application issues
  • Install, configure and support Windows OS and standard office applications
  • Troubleshoot basic networking issues (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, connectivity)
  • Log, track, and document incidents accurately
  • Support new starters with on boarding and IT setup
  • Manage multiple tickets while meeting service expectations

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience (2 - 4 years') in an IT Support or Desktop Support role
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to support non-technical users
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows environments and end-user devices
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts
  • Well-organised, reliable and comfortable working under pressure
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
