IT Support Lead

What you will do:

As an IT Support Lead based in Adelaide, you will play an instrumental role in developing robust support strategies that underpin the stability of critical infrastructure. Your day-to-day activities will involve:

  • Deliver advanced technical support for systems, networks, operating systems, and applications by resolving complex issues efficiently and maintaining high standards of service quality.
  • Lead and manage a small IT support team by allocating tasks effectively, monitoring performance metrics, and nurturing professional growth through ongoing mentorship.
  • Develop and refine support procedures while maintaining comprehensive self-service knowledge base content to enhance user experience and streamline service delivery.
  • Oversee infrastructure maintenance activities to ensure compliance with stringent security protocols and operational standards across all platforms.
  • Support integration, migration, and deployment activities for various projects by coordinating resources and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage user accounts, access controls, and group memberships within third-party systems as well as Microsoft platforms including Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory/Entra.
  • Coordinate on boarding and off boarding processes alongside hardware management responsibilities to guarantee smooth transitions for new starters and leavers.
  • Troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems as well as enterprise-level IT service requests using JIRA IT Service Management ticketing system.
  • Foster strong relationships throughout the organisation by proactively addressing IT needs and challenges through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team by encouraging knowledge sharing and supporting professional development.

What you bring:

  • Eligibility to obtain NV1 Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related discipline provides the foundational knowledge necessary for success.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical IT support roles equips you with practical skills for resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Ability to implement best practices in IT support operations contributes to consistent service quality improvements.
  • Effective time management combined with excellent organisational skills allows you to balance competing priorities within a busy support environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking abilities enable you to diagnose problems accurately while proposing thoughtful solutions.
