Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-impact program within the public sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale initiative that enhances community safety and delivers critical IT solutions. The role is based in Adelaide and offers an initial 18-month contract, with an immediate start or as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis activities, including end-to-end process analysis, business process modelling, and requirements gathering.
  • Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and other artefacts to support application enhancements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit requirements, validate adoption needs, and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops, lead presentations, and coordinate with technical teams.
  • Assess product capabilities, identify system changes, and support quality assurance activities such as reviewing test plans and results.
  • Provide advice to managers and project steering committees regarding project initiatives.
  • Contribute to planning for ongoing maintenance and operationalisation of projects/products.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in business analysis within large IT programs, with a focus on end-to-end process analysis/modelling.
  • Ability to create detailed BRDs and translate operational/legislative requirements into functional specifications.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills, including workshop facilitation and relationship management.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail and strategic thinking.
  • Communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences at all levels.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years’ experience as a Business Analyst in IT programs of work.
  • Must be located in South Australia.
  • Ability to pass a Police check prior to commencement.
  • Willingness to sign Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest declarations
