What you'll do:
As a Project Network Engineer, you will play an integral role in delivering advanced telecommunications solutions by leveraging your extensive experience in network planning, RF/LTE radio design, and backhaul/microwave technologies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors to drive the success of complex RAN projects. You will be instrumental in supporting the project manager through effective vendor management and technical discussions while also contributing your expertise during site surveys. Your ability to prepare detailed documentation will help maintain high standards across all project deliverables. By engaging directly with stakeholders and participating in key meetings, you will ensure that all aspects of the network design process are executed efficiently. - Collaborate closely with network planning and design vendors to ensure seamless integration of 4G/LTE/5G solutions across multiple project phases.
- Utilise your RF/LTE radio planning and design knowledge to support public service provider processes using industry-standard tools such as Atoll or Aster.
- Lead backhaul and microwave planning activities by applying hands-on experience with relevant planning tools to optimise network performance.
- Support the project manager by managing vendor relationships and addressing technical queries from deployment partners in a timely manner.
- Contribute to site and tower footprint planning by understanding civil, electrical, power, and battery requirements necessary for robust infrastructure development.
- Apply your experience in project engineering and stakeholder management to deliver successful RAN (Radio Access Network) projects within agreed timelines.
- Assist the RAN telecom team on ongoing Greenfield design initiatives while helping manage schedules and participating actively in vendor meetings.
- Participate in RF and microwave/Line-of-Sight (LoS) related site surveys at locations 100-150kms south of Perth city, utilising a company vehicle for travel.
- Demonstrate high-level understanding of data profiles as well as mining application data and coverage requirements to inform effective network design.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation and reports detailing RAN design and planning activities to ensure transparency and knowledge transfer among teams.

- Hands-on expertise in backhaul/microwave planning supported by practical use of industry-standard backhaul planning tools.
- Ability to support project managers effectively through skilled vendor management and clear communication regarding technical queries.
- Solid understanding of site/tower footprint planning including civil, electrical, power, and battery design considerations essential for robust infrastructure.
- Track record of successful project engineering delivery combined with strong stakeholder management skills within RAN environments.
- Experience supporting RAN telecom teams on Greenfield design projects while managing schedules and participating constructively in meetings with vendors or stakeholders.
- Willingness to participate in RF/microwave/LoS site surveys at remote locations south of Perth city; flexibility for travel is required (company vehicle provided).
- High-level understanding of data profiles as well as mining application data needs for optimal coverage requirement analysis.
