Connectivity Technician (NOC & DC)
A leading digital infrastructure provider is seeking a Connectivity Technician to join their Sydney team. This full-time role blends NOC operations with Data Centre Smart Hands support, maintaining network and customer connectivity. You’ll monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents while ensuring reliable service delivery and a seamless customer experience in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

What you’ll do:
- Monitor and troubleshoot network and data centre connectivity services, identifying and resolving incidents in real time.
- Act as the first/second-level point of contact for customer and vendor escalations.
- Support provisioning and service delivery, coordinating with engineering and field teams.
- Perform Smart Hands tasks - racking, cabling, patching, labelling, and decommissioning.
- Maintain asset records, documentation, and shift handovers in line with SLA requirements.
- Provide on-site diagnostics, hands-and-eyes support, and ensure operational compliance.
What you bring:
- 2+ years’ experience in NOC, telecommunications, or data centre support.
- Knowledge of IP networking (Cisco/Juniper) and optical transmission systems (DWDM/SDH).
- Practical experience with structured cabling, fibre/copper installation, and physical layer testing (ODF/MMR).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools, ITSM systems (ServiceNow/Jira), and server hardware.
- Exposure to colocation facilities (e.g., Equinix, NTT) and submarine network environments is highly beneficial.
- Relevant qualifications in Telecommunications, IT, or Electronics, with certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or CDCTP well regarded.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills with a willingness to work rotating 24×7 shifts.
