As the Project Manager Technology, you will provide leadership in managing and coordinating technology projects within the Technology & Innovation (T&I) Project Delivery Team. You will ensure the delivery of projects that align with organisational strategy, managing cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver outcomes on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality.
This role also provides mentorship to business analysts and project coordinators, drives continuous improvement in project delivery practices, and contributes to project-level governance and strategy. Additionally, the Project Manager Technology is responsible for managing interdependencies and risks within projects, ensuring that the projects deliver benefits that align with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the delivery of a variety of projects with significant organisational visibility and business value
- Define and manage success metrics, project goals, and critical milestones in collaboration with sponsors and key stakeholders
- Oversee resource planning and allocation for project delivery, ensuring optimal use of internal and external resources
- Evaluate trade-offs between scope, time, cost, and quality to maximise project outcomes
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Partner with the Portfolio Manager to identify and implement process improvements that enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, vendors, and partners.
Key requirements include:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile PM certification, or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, ensuring project goals are met on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of technology stacks, software development life cycles, and IT infrastructure to make informed decisions and guide technical teams
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines
- Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders, provide regular updates, and manage expectations
