What you'll do:
As an Information Technology Manager based in Melbourne or Sydney, you will be entrusted with shaping the technological future of a respected energy sector leader. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve setting strategic direction for all IT functions—ranging from infrastructure oversight to digital transformation initiatives—while ensuring that systems remain secure, reliable, scalable, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with organisational objectives and drives business growth.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends to foster innovation and create competitive advantages for the organisation.
- Ensure robust business continuity and disaster recovery strategies are established, maintained, and regularly tested for effectiveness.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and technology partners to ensure optimal performance and value delivery.
- Lead vendor selection processes including tendering, evaluation, procurement, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance management.
- Develop and manage the technology budget effectively by monitoring expenditures, tracking ROI on projects, optimising resource allocation for cost-effectiveness.
