Test Lead
As Test Lead you will be entrusted with designing and executing a fit-for-purpose testing strategy for one of the largest transformation initiatives in the region.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of payroll, rostering, finance systems, and their integrations are thoroughly tested. You will guide your team through complex parallel testing cycles while managing risk mitigation efforts tied to industrial relations changes.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain a robust testing strategy and framework tailored to all streams within the transformation programme, ensuring alignment with business objectives across Payroll, Finance, Rostering, and HCM integrations.
- Oversee every phase of the testing lifecycle including test design, planning, execution, defect management, and transparent reporting to ensure quality assurance throughout the project.
- Drive coordinated parallel testing cycles between Payroll and Finance functions to guarantee seamless integration and minimise disruption during critical release periods.
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of end-to-end scenarios including regression testing as well as award and industrial relations requirements to meet compliance standards.
- Lead stakeholder engagement by building strong relationships with Business Analysts, SMEs, Change Managers, Technical Teams, Solution Architects, HR, IR Executives, Payroll SMEs, RosterOn/Optima SMEs, Programme Sponsors, and other key contributors.
What you bring:
To excel as Test Lead you will bring extensive experience leading end-to-end testing efforts within large-scale transformation programmes—ideally those involving payroll or finance systems. Your background should include hands-on involvement in developing robust test strategies that address both technical integration points and regulatory compliance requirements such as award interpretation or EBA negotiations
- Demonstrated senior experience in test leadership roles within large-scale transformation programmes involving complex system integrations across payroll or finance functions.
- Hands-on expertise in all facets of test management including strategic planning, execution oversight, defect tracking, risk identification, governance maintenance, and transparent reporting.
- Proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholder groups—many without technical backgrounds—to build consensus around testing priorities and communicate progress effectively.
- Experience operating successfully within ambiguous or rapidly changing project conditions where flexibility is essential for ongoing success.
