Test Analyst

This is a key role where you’ll be supporting the Test Lead to ensure that the new financial management system meets all functional and technical requirements. The program involves implementing a modern financial management system, designing standardised business processes using best practices, and deploying it across multiple government agencies. It’s a great opportunity to work on a high-impact project that will transform how finance activities are performed across South Australia.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for tasks such as:

  • Managing and executing test plans across all phases of testing, including System Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and End-to-End Testing.
  • Preparing and loading data for testing activities.
  • Creating and modifying test scenarios and scripts in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Participating in daily testing calls, defect triage meetings, and publishing test metrics.
  • Using your problem-solving skills to identify, analyse, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation in line with legislative requirements.

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A general understanding of finance business processes in complex environments.
  • IT experience with knowledge of testing methods and techniques.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with peers, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel and Word.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
