User Acceptance Testing Coordinator
User Acceptance Testing Coordinator 1 year contract Brisbane North Our client is looking for a User Acceptance Testing Coordinator to play a pivotal role in ensuring that technology solutions meet business requirements and quality standards before production release.
What you'll do:
- Develop comprehensive UAT plans aligned with various project delivery models such as Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall, ensuring all aspects are approved by relevant stakeholders.
- Define the scope of UAT including entry and exit criteria, acceptance criteria, and success measures through close consultation with business stakeholders.
- Derive detailed UAT scenarios and test cases from business requirements, user stories, and non-functional specifications to ensure thorough coverage.
- Coordinate readiness activities by managing environment availability, system integrations, access permissions, and representative test data preparation.
- Manage UAT cycles efficiently by coordinating execution within agreed timelines while maintaining high quality thresholds throughout the process.
- Support business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during UAT activities by providing clear instructions, templates, guidance, and ongoing support as needed.
- Monitor progress of UAT activities closely; identify risks and dependencies early on and take corrective action to maintain momentum.
- Ensure strict adherence to established UAT processes, standards, and governance frameworks across all initiatives.
- Oversee defect management including identification, logging, triage, prioritisation, tracking using tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA; facilitate defect triage sessions between business and technical teams.
- Provide accurate status reporting on UAT progress including execution metrics, defect statistics, risks identified, impacts assessed; escalate issues proactively with recommendations.
What you bring:
- Tertiary qualification (diploma/degree) or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline is essential for this role.
- ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or international equivalent certification is mandatory to demonstrate your foundational knowledge of software testing principles.
- Recent experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing in complex technology delivery environments is required to ensure you can handle challenging project scenarios.
- A strong understanding of UAT principles including business process validation and acceptance criteria will enable you to deliver dependable results.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to validate requirements and outcomes is crucial for effective communication and collaboration.
- Proven ability to manage UAT under tight timeframes while maintaining quality standards and stakeholder confidence shows your reliability under pressure.
- Familiarity with defect management tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA is necessary for efficient tracking and resolution of issues during testing cycles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strong organisational skills combined with a pragmatic approach to risk-based testing will help you coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
