This role is a unique chance to utilise your expertise in translating business requirements into workable data models, specifically within the context of Financial ERP systems. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive daily rate of $850 ex super and the chance to work within a dynamic and supportive team environment. This role offers the perfect blend of technical challenge and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to significant projects.
What you'll do:
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in translating intricate business requirements into functional data models. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with business users within a complex systems environment, designing and maintaining BI solutions. You will have the opportunity to showcase your excellent planning and organisational skills as well as your ability to communicate complex information effectively. This role provides an excellent platform for you to further develop your skills in data modelling, transformation, migration, and profiling.
Work closely with business users to define and develop detailed requirements in a complex systems environment
Translate business requirements into multi-dimensional data models (star schemas)
Design and maintain BI solutions with a focus on data modelling, transformation, migration, and profiling
Adapt to new technologies, processes, and changing business requirements
Communicate complex information in an easily digestible format tailored to the audience
Plan and organise tasks effectively, setting priorities and meeting deadlines
Create a variety of documents including data models, technical specifications, use cases, and business processes
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Business Intelligence Analyst role brings substantial experience working with business users in defining detailed requirements within complex environments. You possess a strong background in BI projects, particularly in designing and maintaining BI solutions. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allow you to effectively communicate complex information. You are highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Your advanced knowledge of MS Office, MS SQL Server, and Data Warehouse architecture will be crucial in this role. Additionally, your ability to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, will set you apart.
Substantial experience working with business users to define and develop detailed requirements in a complex systems environment
Experience working on BI projects; designing and maintaining BI solutions with a focus on data modelling, transformation, migration, and profiling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate complex information effectively
Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, MS SQL Server, and Data Warehouse architecture
Ability to work independently, show initiative, and work productively as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coming from a business analyst background
3 years of Azure Data Lake experience
