What you'll do:
As an Accounts Payable Officer based in Sydney, you will immerse yourself in a diverse range of responsibilities that underpin the financial health of this esteemed organisation. - Manage and coordinate expense reporting for various teams, including reconciling Amex expenses to ensure all transactions are accurate and processed promptly.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance team to guarantee timely payment of accounts and reconciliation of recoverable expenses, maintaining clear communication throughout.
- Process invoices for payment by verifying correct coding to cost centres and the general ledger, ensuring compliance with budget guidelines and authorisation protocols.
- Provide backup administrative support to the finance department, acting as the main point of contact for petty cash, foreign currency matters, travel requisitions, and cash acquittal enquiries.
- Assist with month-end foreign currency reporting by gathering relevant data and preparing necessary documentation for review by senior finance staff.
- Support payroll processing through accurate data entry when required, ensuring confidentiality and precision at all times.
- Contribute to documenting procedures and policies as needed, helping to maintain up-to-date records that support best practices within the finance function.
- Undertake various ad-hoc finance tasks as directed by business needs, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to assist wherever required.
- Maintain meticulous systems and records to ensure the flow and accuracy of financial data across all accounts payable activities.
