Finance Officer

Save job

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a supportive team environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional client service while developing their analytical skills. You will be part of a forward-thinking organisation that values your growth, encourages learning, and celebrates diverse perspectives. With a focus on flexibility, professional development, and a culture that truly values every individual, this position offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact while building your career within a global network.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Officer, you will play an integral role in supporting multiple business units across the APAC region from the Brisbane-based Shared Service Centre. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing client and supplier data updates, facilitating special rate agreements, and ensuring all operational standards are met. You will interact regularly with both local and international colleagues as well as clients, responding promptly to queries while upholding high levels of accuracy. Success in this role comes from your ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment, maintain meticulous attention to detail under tight deadlines, and demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for delivering excellent client service. By contributing positively to daily operations and embracing opportunities for learning, you will help drive the continued success of the finance function within this global organisation.

  • Support the process of client and matter data updates as well as supplier creations and updates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to facilitate the set-up of special rate agreements tailored to specific business needs.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with both internal and external customers, providing timely responses to requests, queries, and issues.
  • Ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and relevant company guidelines are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Assist with daily tasks assigned by Master Data Analysts, Charge Out Rates Analysts, and the Shared Service Centre Manager to support smooth operations.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of data integrity within finance systems by following established processes and best practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery within the Shared Service Centre.
  • Work collaboratively with team members locally and internationally to share knowledge, resolve challenges, and achieve common goals.
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer service excellence by taking pride in your work and striving for positive outcomes in every interaction.

What you bring:

To excel as a Finance Officer in this role, you will bring proven experience from a finance-related position where you have demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. Your background may include exposure to master data management or pricing functions; however, what sets you apart is your willingness to learn new systems quickly while working collaboratively within diverse teams. You possess strong organisational skills that enable you to meet deadlines without compromising quality. Your interpersonal approach ensures positive relationships with colleagues at all levels—locally and internationally—and your commitment to inclusivity means you value different perspectives. Familiarity with tools like MS Office (especially Excel), SAP accounting software, or ServiceNow will help you hit the ground running. Above all else, your positive attitude towards learning new things makes you an asset who contributes meaningfully not just through technical expertise but also through empathy, dependability, and shared success.

  • A curious mindset eager to learn new concepts quickly while solving problems thoughtfully in collaboration with others.
  • Proven experience as a proactive team player committed to delivering exceptional client service in every interaction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with strong attention to detail when handling sensitive financial information.
  • Outstanding organisational abilities enabling you to manage multiple priorities effectively within tight individual or team timeframes.
  • At least one year’s experience working in a finance department—ideally within master data management or pricing/rates functions—to provide valuable insights into daily operations.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications such as Excel for data analysis along with experience using SAP accounting software or ServiceNow platforms.
  • Previous exposure to working within a Shared Service Centre environment is highly regarded but not essential if you bring enthusiasm for learning new systems.
  • A positive attitude towards change coupled with adaptability when faced with evolving business requirements or shifting priorities.
  • Commitment to upholding company values around inclusion, respect, and accessibility throughout all aspects of your work.

What sets this company apart:

This organisation stands out for its unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive culture where every individual’s unique perspective is celebrated. As part of a global network spanning multiple continents—including offices across the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific—you will benefit from unparalleled exposure to international projects while enjoying the support of knowledgeable colleagues dedicated to helping each other grow. The company’s dedication to social impact extends beyond its client work: it actively invests in employee development through training opportunities designed around your ambitions. Flexible working arrangements ensure that everyone can thrive regardless of personal circumstances or background. Accessibility is prioritised throughout recruitment and employment processes so that all talented individuals feel welcome—whatever their journey has been so far. Here you’ll find not only professional advancement but also genuine care for your wellbeing as part of an empathetic community that values kindness, understanding, loyalty, and shared achievement above all else.
