Accounts Receivable Officer

Our client, a big brand in the Australian market is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with an excellent management team, and oversee the collection of payments owed by customers and clients, ensuring that the company's revenue is accurately recorded and received on time. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks including invoice creation and management, payment collection, account reconciliation, customer communication, reporting and documentation, audit support, and compliance and process improvement.

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ensuring accurate invoice creation and proactive monitoring of outstanding invoices. You will also be tasked with tracking customer payments, reconciling accounts receivable transactions, and acting as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries. Additionally, you will prepare detailed reports on accounts receivable activities and assist in audit processes. Your commitment to compliance with company policies and industry standards will be key to your success in this role.

  • Ensure the monthly billing process is completed accurately and within designated timeframes.
  • Monitor and track customer payments to ensure timely receipt.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions to ensure the accuracy of customer balances.
  • Act as the point of contact for customer inquiries related to their accounts, invoices, and payments.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on accounts receivable aging, outstanding payments, and collections status.
  • Assist auditors by providing necessary documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.


What you bring:

  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in accounts receivable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlook-ups)
