UNSW College, a wholly owned enterprise of UNSW Sydney, is seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead strategic financial and commercial initiatives during a pivotal period of growth and innovation.

The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO is a strategic executive role that oversees financial strategy, commercial performance, and data-driven decision-making. With 2 direct reports and ~15 team members, you’ll play a critical role in shaping UNSW College’s future, ensuring sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and drive financial and capital planning strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Commercial Advisory: Provide insights and recommendations on investments, partnerships, and new market opportunities.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Build a robust analytics framework to embed performance metrics and enable evidence-based strategies.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure rigorous financial governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Team Leadership: Inspire high-performing teams, champion innovation, and foster a culture of accountability and growth.
About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven track record as a senior financial and strategy executive in a complex, high-performing organisation.
- Expertise in financial strategy, planning, and commercial decision-making.
- Strong leadership in data analytics, fostering a performance-driven culture.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
- CA/CPA qualifications and tertiary education in finance, commerce, or a related field.
Desirable:
- MBA or postgraduate qualifications.
- Experience in education, global markets, or mission-driven organisations.
- Familiarity with IFRS and public sector governance frameworks.
