Fund Finance Manager

What you'll do:
As Fund Accounting Manager, you will take ownership of critical finance functions that underpin the success of major infrastructure funds. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you guiding your team through complex accounting tasks while ensuring all regulatory obligations are met efficiently. You will have the opportunity to shape best practices in reporting, drive improvements in internal controls, and contribute to strategic projects such as transactions or system upgrades. By building strong relationships with colleagues across Finance, Investments, Tax, Legal, Risk, and Investor Solutions teams, you will help deliver accurate information that supports key business decisions. - Oversee the preparation of monthly net asset value calculations, unit pricing, and comprehensive investor reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage and review detailed management accounts as well as board packs, providing valuable insights for senior decision-makers.
- Supervise statutory reporting processes including the preparation of financial statements and coordination with external auditors for seamless audit delivery.
- Ensure full compliance with tax requirements by managing distributable income calculations, tax returns, and tax provisioning activities.
- Take responsibility for treasury functions such as cash flow forecasting and liquidity management to support robust fund operations.
- Deliver insightful commentary on fund performance through benchmarking analysis and regular performance reviews.
- Lead, mentor, and develop two Senior Accountants by fostering their professional growth and supporting their ongoing performance.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for systems enhancements and automation within finance operations.
- Assist with transaction-related work including acquisitions and divestments by providing technical accounting input and structuring advice.
- Collaborate closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director to uphold high standards of financial governance across all activities.

- CA or CPA qualification with at least eight years post-qualification experience in relevant roles is required for this position.
- Extensive background in fund accounting gained within infrastructure investment, private equity, or broader investment management sectors is essential.
- Demonstrated experience leading small finance teams or mentoring senior professionals is highly desirable for success in this role.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of IFRS-based financial reporting standards as well as unit pricing methodologies is expected.
- Proven track record managing external audit processes along with tax compliance responsibilities including returns and provisioning is necessary.
- Commercial acumen combined with excellent stakeholder management skills enables effective collaboration across diverse teams.
