Client Relationship Officer

As a Client Relationship Officer – Equity Custody based in Melbourne, you will be entrusted with the end-to-end facilitation of settlement processes across a diverse range of financial products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you managing complex transactions using industry-standard systems while ensuring meticulous record-keeping for every client interaction.
What you'll do:
- Ensure accurate and timely settlements for equity, managed funds, derivatives, fixed interest, cash securities, and other assets using multiple industry systems such as CHESS, Austraclear, Garradin, and online banking platforms.
- Actively follow up pending trades with clients, brokers, and staff to guarantee all transactions are processed within required time frames while maintaining clear records of each action taken.
- Maintain comprehensive asset registers and ensure books and records for each fund or client are kept up-to-date in accordance with internal procedures.
- Prepare and send detailed client reports as required by custody mandates while monitoring client fee invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide prompt responses to both internal and external client requests or queries while maintaining high standards of customer care at all times.
To excel as a Client Relationship Officer you will bring a blend of technical expertise in settlement processes alongside interpersonal strengths that foster trust-based relationships. Your background may include hands-on experience using industry-standard systems such as CHESS or Garradin Portfolio Management System; however your willingness to learn new technologies is equally important. You should possess an analytical mindset capable of navigating complex regulatory environments while remaining sensitive to the needs of both clients and colleagues.
