Reporting Analyst

Save job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reporting Analyst to join a highly respected Corporate Trust APAC Analytics team based in Sydney. This role offers you the chance to play a pivotal part in administering and managing complex securitisation transactions, while working closely with both internal teams and external clients across the financial markets sector.

What you'll do:

As a Reporting Analyst within the Corporate Trust APAC Analytics team in Sydney, you will play an integral role in supporting the administration of complex securitisation transactions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing a diverse portfolio of deals where you will be accountable for all aspects of client servicing—from daily transaction administration through to monthly payment calculations. You will collaborate extensively with both internal stakeholders and external partners across the financial services ecosystem. By leveraging your analytical expertise with large datasets and your understanding of financial instruments such as syndicated loans and fixed income products, you will provide essential calculation support while preparing detailed reports that inform business decisions. Your proactive approach to addressing client needs will ensure satisfaction at every stage. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, effective time management under tight deadlines, strong interpersonal skills for building lasting relationships within the industry, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of accuracy in all deliverables.

  • Administer all aspects of securitisation transactions as the primary point of contact for assigned deals, ensuring timely completion of daily activities and monthly payment calculations.
  • Manage a portfolio of securitisation transactions with full accountability for service levels and relationship management with clients, including law firms, institutional investors, investment bankers, custodians, lenders, and borrowers.
  • Provide calculation support for various financial market debt instruments such as syndicated loans, medium term notes, and other fixed income products.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Managers, Client Administration teams, Transaction Management Group, Business Development, and Product Management to deliver outstanding service.
  • Work with internal and external datasets as well as client reference data to develop statistical, financial, or econometric models that analyse asset performance, securities data, derivative pricing, risk exposure, or other advanced concepts.
  • Prepare drafts of standard and ad hoc reports by providing analytical support through basic statistical and quantitative analyses under general guidance.
  • Perform or oversee data management activities in support of more senior quantitative colleagues by running models, identifying exceptions, and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Interpret findings from analyses and prepare initial drafts of standard reports that contribute directly to team goals.
  • Proactively address client issues efficiently while maintaining high standards of satisfaction through clear communication and problem resolution.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in all work produced while meeting competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What you bring:

To excel as a Reporting Analyst in this team-oriented environment based in Sydney, you will bring proven experience from previous roles involving securitisation or related financial market instruments. Your background should include hands-on involvement with complex transaction administration—ideally supported by formal qualifications in finance or quantitative analysis. You will have honed your ability to communicate clearly with clients while balancing multiple priorities under pressure. Your analytical acumen enables you to interpret large volumes of data accurately using statistical tools; meanwhile your collaborative nature ensures you thrive when working alongside others towards shared objectives. A keen eye for detail combined with unwavering dependability means you consistently deliver high-quality results even against challenging deadlines. Above all else, your enthusiasm for continuous improvement—both personally through training opportunities and collectively within your team—will set you apart as an invaluable contributor.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; an advanced degree in quantitative analysis is highly regarded.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working within securitisation roles or similar positions involving complex financial instruments is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in client servicing with excellent communication skills that foster trust-based relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while consistently meeting hard deadlines without compromising on quality or attention to detail.
  • Strong product knowledge relating to securitisation transactions as well as familiarity with syndicated loans, medium term notes, or other fixed income products is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with large datasets using statistical or econometric modelling techniques for analysing asset performance or risk exposure is advantageous.
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge across teams while supporting communal goals within a high-performing environment.
  • Capacity for critical thinking when interpreting data findings coupled with the courage to speak up when identifying potential issues or improvements.
  • Dependable work ethic demonstrated by consistent achievement of team objectives through responsible task ownership.
  • Commitment to continuous learning through participation in training opportunities aimed at enhancing technical proficiency.
