This role offers you the chance to be at the heart of community engagement, supporting customers and ensuring their concerns are addressed with care and efficiency. What you'll do:

Your day-to-day activities will centre around responding to inbound calls from members of the public who require assistance or clarification regarding council services.

With each interaction, you will provide thoughtful guidance, ensuring that every individual feels valued and understood.

  • Respond promptly and courteously to inbound telephone enquiries
  • Accurately record details of each call using internal systems, maintaining up-to-date records
  • Process data related to customer enquiries efficiently
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across different teams to resolve complex issues
  • Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on common issues raised by customers

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Customer Service Consultant role will bring strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a robust work ethic. Experience in a call centre environment would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided.

  • Experience working in a customer-based role is essential (Retail, Hospitality or Call Centre)
  • Experience in a call centre environment is beneficial but not essential
