Customer Service Consultant

Save job

A leading organisation is seeking a enthusiastic and empathetic Customer Service Consultant to join a newly established team on a 12 month contract. Within this position you will be responsible for delivering a warm and supportive welcome to new international members. As part of a close-knit group, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every new member feels valued and supported from their very first interaction.

As a Customer Service Consultant, you will be at the heart of creating positive first impressions for new international members. Your day will involve reaching out via phone to introduce yourself as their dedicated point of contact, guiding them through the initial steps of their membership journey. You will answer queries with patience and clarity, help set up important account features, and ensure that every interaction leaves members feeling reassured and informed.

What you'll do:

  • Make outbound welcome calls to new international members, ensuring each individual receives a friendly introduction and clear information about their membership.
  • Guide new members through the on-boarding process by answering questions, explaining benefits, and offering tailored support based on their needs.
  • Assist members with setting up direct debits and other essential account tasks, making sure all processes are explained clearly and completed efficiently.
  • Communicate the value proposition of membership in a way that is easy to understand and relevant to each customer’s circumstances.
  • Document all interactions accurately in internal systems, maintaining high standards of data integrity and confidentiality at all times.

What you bring:

To excel as a Customer Service Consultant in this role, your background will include proven experience supporting customers over the phone—ideally within call centre or similar settings—where your interpersonal skills have helped build trust quickly. You bring warmth and patience into every conversation, ensuring that even complex information is delivered clearly.

  • Previous experience in customer service or call centre environments where you have demonstrated empathy and effective communication skills over the phone.
  • A genuine passion for helping others feel welcomed and supported during important transitions or on-boarding processes.
  • Excellent verbal communication abilities in English; proficiency in Mandarin is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail when recording information or following up on member requests.
  • Comfort using digital tools such as CRM systems or databases for accurate record-keeping and work-flow management.

What sets this company apart:

This organisation stands out for its unwavering commitment to supporting both its customers and employees alike. By fostering an inclusive culture where everyone’s contributions are valued, it creates an environment where collaboration thrives. The focus on flexible working arrangements demonstrates genuine respect for work-life balance—allowing you to perform at your best without sacrificing personal priorities. Employees benefit from comprehensive training programmes designed not only for skill development but also for personal growth.

What's next:

If you are excited by the prospect of making a meaningful difference for new international members while enjoying flexible working conditions, this is your chance to shine!
