Case Manager (Death Claims)
In this role, you are not just handling claims; you are guiding people through the intricacies of insurance with compassion and expertise. As a Case Manager, you will manage and process various types of cases and payments, including Total Permanent Disability (TPD), Income Protection (IP) insurance claims, Death (D), and Terminal Illness (TI) claims, as well as Family Law claims and early release payments for financial hardship or compassionate grounds.
Your primary focus will be overseeing the entire process of Death Claims, ensuring you provide exceptional service to beneficiaries and claimants by addressing their inquiries and supporting them throughout the process. This position is based in the Melbourne office. While our client embraces a hybrid work model with a minimum of two days in the office each week, you may need to be on-site more frequently during the initial training period.
Role Expectations
You are committed to delivering the best possible experience and outcomes for individuals and have proven experience in a similar role within a Superannuation or Life claims assessment environment. Additionally, you possess:
- Experience as a Claims Case Manager, particularly with Death Claims.
- Expertise in Claims Staking.
- Demonstrated ability to review and challenge insurer decisions, including declined claims.
- The skill to prepare trustee recommendations for approval.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for proactive, solution-focused interactions with individuals, beneficiaries, and legal representatives.
