  • Oversee the delivery of office activities and operations within allocated budgets, ensuring resources are managed efficiently to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Liaise with rail transport operators and other stakeholders such as state and local government representatives to build cooperative relationships that support shared safety goals.
  • Support other divisions by offering expertise that contributes to the development of organisational policies, programmes, and projects aimed at improving rail safety outcomes.
  • Represent the organisation at external meetings and forums, acting as an ambassador for best practice in rail safety regulation.
  • Actively participate in National Operations Committee meetings to share insights and contribute to nationwide initiatives.
  • Develop compliance strategies or procedures collaboratively with other areas of the organisation to meet national objectives effectively.

  • Collaborative leadership style with experience guiding teams within devolved management environments while encouraging motivation and shared success towards common goals.
  • Proven track record of achieving results by supporting people through transition periods and fostering positive adaptive work environments.
  • Experience managing regulatory functions that balance industry needs with government priorities while actively contributing practical insights into policy development.
  • Sound theoretical understanding of contemporary accreditation processes alongside practical experience implementing compliance systems within the transport sector.
  • Broad awareness of current national and state government initiatives relevant to the rail industry coupled with proven ability to adapt strategies accordingly.
