AO3 Claims Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Claims Officer within Queensland Government, based in the heart of Brisbane CBD. This role offers you the chance to make a meaningful contribution to Queensland’s education infrastructure by supporting the delivery and management of essential facilities and assets.
What you'll do:
- Provide operational information and responsive support to colleagues across different teams regarding infrastructure, planning, and asset management services.
- Assist with financial, administrative, and facilities support services to ensure unit deliverables are met for internal clients including schools.
- Resolve operational issues as they arise while assisting in the development and implementation of new initiatives, policies, processes, and systems to maintain compliance with relevant legislation and departmental requirements.
- Maintain resource management systems for departmental assets, monitoring facility conditions to ensure optimal use and upkeep.
- Support the coordination of all activities necessary for the smooth operational management of facilities and assets such as real property, buildings, vehicles, equipment, and hire arrangements.
- Handle enquiries and complaints from stakeholders regarding departmental facilities or assets with professionalism and empathy.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience providing claims and administration support within a public sector environment will be highly regarded.
- Excellent written communication skills enabling you to compile clear reports and submissions that support effective service delivery.
- Proven organisational skills with attention to detail when managing multiple priorities such as resource tracking or responding promptly to stakeholder enquiries.
- Ability to adapt quickly when faced with changing circumstances or new challenges within complex environments.
- Sound judgement when resolving operational problems or assisting in policy/process development initiatives aimed at improving service quality.
- Experience using digital systems for resource management or data entry would be advantageous but not essential; training can be provided if required.
