Senior Identity and Access Governance Analyst Duration: 12 months initial contract Location: Sydney CBD Keywords: identity governance, access management, compliance, stakeholder collaboration, continuous improvement, An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Senior Identity and Access Governance Analyst to join a newly established team within a NSW Gov Organisation

Role Summary:

  • Champion initiatives that advance the identity governance function in strict alignment with internal policies, regulatory obligations, and prevailing industry standards.
  • Supervise identity governance campaigns through dedicated platforms to guarantee timely completion of user access reviews and fulfilment of campaign objectives.
  • Foster collaborative partnerships with internal teams and external entities to broaden the influence of identity governance, encourage capability enhancement, and nurture a culture of trust within the IAM domain.
  • Produce comprehensive reports detailing activities within the identity and access management system to facilitate audits, inform security assessments, and provide actionable intelligence.
  • Discern risks as well as opportunities inherent in current practices, offering considered advice and recommendations that underpin ongoing enhancements in identity governance.
  • Document business processes pertinent to identity governance to ensure adherence to relevant standards, statutory requirements, and organisational policies.
  • Support the unification of shared services by harmonising procedures related to ERP systems, IT incident management, travel administration, and expense oversight.
  • Engage closely with stakeholders to ensure user access reviews are conducted within prescribed timeframes notwithstanding competing demands.
  • Contribute substantively to the formulation of IAM policies and procedures that underpin secure operations at all levels of the organisation.

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience in developing and managing identity governance functions within complex organisations or public sector environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in overseeing user access review campaigns utilising specialised identity governance platforms whilst ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with diverse internal teams as well as external partners to foster trust in IAM processes.
  • Proven ability to generate comprehensive reports on IAM system activities for audit support or security assessment purposes.
  • Aptitude for discerning risks or process deficiencies within existing identity governance frameworks and recommending pragmatic solutions for enhancement.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards (such as ISO/IEC 27001), and their practical application within identity management policies.
  • Exceptional documentation skills for mapping business processes related to access management in accordance with organisational imperatives.
  • Capacity to manage concurrent priorities effectively whilst maintaining scrupulous attention to detail under stringent deadlines.
  • Familiarity with ERP system consolidation projects or analogous large-scale change initiatives is highly desirable.
