We are currently looking for a Senior Application Developer to join a Government Department in the CBD. Contract: 6 months Salary: DOE Location: Brisbane Flexibility: Hybrid Working

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage collaborative relationships with key project stakeholders and external vendors to advise on, analyse, design, and develop tailored solutions that meet evolving business requirements.
- Consult closely with internal teams to resolve issues related to priorities, technical concepts, scheduling, and change management processes while maintaining a customer-service focus.
- Proactively monitor support requests for incident resolution and feature enhancements across ICT systems, including requirements analysis, risk assessment, development activities, and ongoing support.
- Execute end-to-end software development processes that deliver successful business outcomes aligned with organisational goals.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in internal systems covering design documents, standards, processes, and supporting procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Apply industry best practices in application design, development, deployment, and support using modern tools and technologies.
- Support the development of scalable and secure cloud-based applications with a preference for Azure environments.
- Champion DevSecOps principles by configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery cycles.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance or user experience based on feedback or emerging technologies.
- Undertake additional duties as specified by your supervisor or line manager as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in IT service management frameworks as well as software development processes supporting enterprise-level systems.
- Proven ability in designing and developing responsive web applications using modern coding languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, or C#.
- Adept at utilising appropriate tools, techniques, and technologies for compliant application design, development, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Hands-on experience developing scalable cloud-based applications—preferably within Azure environments—that are fit-for-purpose and secure.
- Sound understanding of DevSecOps practices including practical experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines for streamlined delivery.
- Experience working with content management systems such as Matrix or AEM is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with frameworks like Next.js or Vue.js (or similar) is considered advantageous.
- Knowledge of MS Power Automate or Power Platform adds further value to your profile.
- Understanding of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes enhances your suitability for this position.
- Experience applying Queensland Government Design System principles is desirable.
