Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Project Support Officer to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the review of Design Standards and support key activities relating to Post Occupancy Evaluations. The successful candidate will provide both administrative and technical support, ensuring smooth and efficient processes in line with established guidelines and frameworks. This role also involves stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:

As a Project Support Officer, your role will be pivotal in supporting the development, coordination, and review of Design Standards. You will also play a crucial part in supporting key activities relating to Post Occupancy Evaluations (POE). Your responsibilities will include maintaining systems, conducting research, liaising with internal stakeholders, assisting in documentation review, drafting communications, presentations, summary reports, and general team administration. Your ability to work collaboratively in a team environment will be essential for success in this role.

  • Provide assistance in developing, coordinating and contributing to the review of Design Standards
  • Support key activities relating to Post Occupancy Evaluations (POE)
  • Ensure that processes related to the Design Standards and POE are carried out smoothly and efficiently
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Operate as the secretariat for the Design Standard Working Group, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and minutes
  • Maintain the myProjects system's variations and issues register, ensuring accuracy and currency
  • Conduct pertinent research on technical matters related to design standards and provide summarised outcomes

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Project Support Officer role brings a wealth of knowledge from previous roles or qualifications in infrastructure planning or strategic policy. You have a foundational understanding of relevant design standards, codes, and legislation. Your proficiency in various software applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, PowerBi and Microsoft Teams is commendable. You have basic data collection and analysis skills coupled with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Your proven experience in effectively liaising with a range of stakeholders makes you an excellent fit for this role.

  • Qualifications or industry experience in infrastructure planning, strategic policy or similar
  • Foundational understanding of relevant design standards, codes, and legislation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, PowerBi and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience with Department of Education Content Manager and Microsoft Survey Manager (or similar tools)
  • Basic data collection and analysis skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven experience in effectively liaising with a range of stakeholders
