People & Culture Coordinator

What you'll do:
As a People and Culture Coordinator based in Sydney CBD, you will immerse yourself in a varied role that touches every aspect of the employee experience. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating closely with your team to deliver exceptional support across onboarding processes, maintaining precise records in SAP SuccessFactors, responding thoughtfully to employee queries, assisting with recruitment activities such as job postings or interview scheduling, preparing essential documentation for employment changes or new starters, and helping plan engaging events that foster connection among colleagues. You will also play an important part in process improvement initiatives—mapping out workflows for greater efficiency—and keeping policy documents up-to-date so everyone has access to reliable guidance. Your ability to manage multiple priorities with care will ensure both operational excellence and a welcoming environment for all staff.
- Provide comprehensive support throughout the entire employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, internal movements, and general administration to ensure smooth transitions for all staff.
- Maintain accurate employee records within SAP SuccessFactors by updating information promptly and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times.
- Process employee lifecycle transactions in the HRIS system to support compliance requirements and uphold high standards of data management.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards tailored to business needs as well as compliance obligations, ensuring stakeholders have access to up-to-date information.
- Assist in mapping, documenting, and improving People and Culture processes such as onboarding workflows and offboarding procedures to drive operational excellence.
- Keep process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal guides current so that all team members can access clear instructions when needed.
- Support the maintenance of policies and intranet content by ensuring materials are accessible, relevant, and regularly updated for all employees.
- Respond promptly to first-level employee queries via the P&C Operations inbox or escalate more complex matters appropriately to senior colleagues.
- Coordinate with internal teams on new starter onboarding activities, terminations, employment changes, benefits administration, wellbeing initiatives, recruitment drives, induction sessions, and engagement events.
- Prepare employment-related documentation such as contracts, variation letters, correspondence for new hires or existing staff changes with accuracy and attention to detail.
What you bring:
To excel as a People and Culture Coordinator in this organisation, you will bring proven experience from previous roles where you supported HR operations or provided administrative assistance within busy teams. Your interpersonal skills will shine through as you build rapport with colleagues across departments while handling sensitive matters discreetly. A keen eye for detail will help you maintain accurate records in line with compliance requirements. Your proficiency with technology—especially Microsoft Office applications—will enable you to generate insightful reports or update documentation efficiently. - A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field—or currently working towards one—demonstrates your commitment to professional growth.
- At least 1–2 years’ experience in an HR or administrative role provides you with foundational knowledge of people operations within a corporate setting.
- Strong organisational skills enable you to manage competing priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of accuracy across all tasks.
- Excellent communication abilities allow you to interact considerately with colleagues at all levels while providing clear responses to queries or requests.
- High attention to detail ensures that sensitive information is handled confidentially and records are always kept up-to-date without error.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite supports your ability to create polished documents and manage data efficiently; familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors is highly regarded but not essential.
