Applications Specialist - PHP/Python, Linux and SQL

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and optimise key business applications to ensure smooth, high-performance operations.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application-related incidents, while identifying patterns and root causes.

• Implement patches, system upgrades and provide ongoing development in critical applications.

• Support system integration and automation by leveraging APIs, scripting and back end processes.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their day-to-day interactions with core applications and ensure technical solutions align with business needs.

• Create and maintain up-to-date documentation and technical knowledge bases.

• Design and deliver custom reports, processes and templates to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

About You:

• Solid technical grounding in systems, networks, and API integration's.

• Hands-on experience with PHP or Python, Linux scripting and SQL.

• Proven background in application support within a medium to large organisation.

• Clear and confident communicator — able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users with ease.

• Fast learner who can quickly grasp new technologies and their practical use in an organisational context.
