Adelaide University is seeking an Executive Director for Industrial Relations, Employee Relations and Wellbeing and Safety. This role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of workplace wellbeing, safety, people advisory services, industrial relations and employee relations within a prestigious educational institution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the workplace relations strategy, overseeing enterprise agreements, union negotiations, and ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to shaping the People Strategy by supporting stakeholder engagement, ensuring resources are aligned, strategic objectives are achievable, and the strategy is responsive to workforce needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Driving the workplace relations and industrial relations strategy
  • Contributing to shaping the People Strategy by supporting stakeholder engagement
  • Advising on strategies to cultivate a safety-centric culture
  • Leading the Industrial Relations and Employee Relations & Wellbeing and Safety sub-function

Adelaide University is seeking an Executive Director for Organisational Capability. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the strategic direction of workplace wellbeing, safety, people advisory services, industrial relations and employee relations within the University.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the workplace relations and industrial relations strategy, overseeing enterprise agreements, union negotiations, and ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to shaping the People Strategy by supporting stakeholder engagement, ensuring resources are aligned, strategic objectives are achievable, and the strategy is responsive to workforce needs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Driving the workplace relations and industrial relations strategy
  • Contributing to shaping the People Strategy by supporting stakeholder engagement
  • Advising the DVC – People and Culture and the wider executive team on strategies to cultivate a safety-centric culture
  • Leading the Industrial Relations and Employee Relations & Wellbeing and Safety sub-function

  • Creating a safe and healthy workplace for employees; establish and champion practices that will enhance employees wellbeing and increase employees engagement

Director, People Services and Careers

Adelaide University is seeking a Director for their People Services and Careers department. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the strategic direction of workplace wellbeing, safety, people advisory services, industrial relations and employee relations within the University. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the workplace relations and industrial relations strategy, overseeing enterprise agreements, union negotiations, and ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the workplace relations and industrial relations strategy.
  • Contribute to shaping the People Strategy by supporting stakeholder engagement.
  • Advise on strategies to cultivate a safety-centric culture.
  • Lead the establishment of a cohesive identity and culture for the function.
  • Implement initiatives to develop the skills and experience of employees.
  • Establish clear performance standards and expectations.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in building high-performing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in managing complex issues.
  • Experience in managing compliance initiatives within large organisations.
  • Track record in driving strategic, cultural, and organisational change.

Director, Workforce Planning and Partnering

Adelaide University is seeking a Director of Workforce Planning and Partnering. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the strategic direction of workplace wellbeing, safety, people advisory services, industrial relations and employee relations within the University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the People Strategy by supporting stakeholder engagement, ensuring resources are aligned, strategic objectives are achievable, and the strategy is responsive to workforce needs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Shape and execute the strategic direction of workplace wellbeing, safety, people advisory services.
  • Contribute to shaping the People Strategy by supporting stakeholder engagement.
  • Advise on strategies to cultivate a safety-centric culture.
  • Lead the establishment of a cohesive identity and culture for the function.
  • Design and implement an integrated service model for the function.
  • Proactively monitor employee data and trends to generate actionable insights.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgement in managing complex issues.
  • Experience in building high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in building cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Experience in managing compliance initiatives within large organisations.
  • Ability to build a safe and inclusive work environment.
