Receptionist

Save job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Receptionist to join a highly respected organisation in Perth, where your interpersonal skills and commitment to providing outstanding service will be truly valued.

As a Corporate Receptionist based in Perth’s bustling CBD, you will play an integral role in shaping the first impressions of the organisation for clients, visitors, and colleagues alike. Your day-to-day activities will centre around creating an inviting atmosphere at the front desk—greeting everyone with genuine warmth while managing phone enquiries efficiently. You will take pride in keeping the reception area immaculate and well-organised so that it always reflects the high standards of the business. Beyond these core duties, you will coordinate meeting room bookings seamlessly, handle mail distribution accurately, assist with onboarding new starters by preparing essential materials for their arrival, and provide vital administrative support across multiple teams. Your ability to juggle competing priorities calmly while maintaining confidentiality will be key to your success. In this varied position you’ll have ample opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life while contributing positively to the overall running of the office.

  • Greet all visitors with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel welcome and are directed appropriately within the organisation.
  • Manage incoming calls efficiently by answering promptly, addressing queries courteously, and transferring calls or taking messages as required.
  • Maintain the reception area to high standards of cleanliness and organisation, creating a positive first impression for clients, guests, and staff alike.
  • Coordinate meeting room bookings, prepare rooms for meetings including arranging refreshments when necessary, and ensure all facilities are ready for use.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries with accuracy, distributing correspondence promptly throughout the office.
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, filing, photocopying, scanning documents, and maintaining office supplies inventory.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees by preparing welcome packs, issuing security passes or access cards, and providing an introduction to office procedures.
  • Liaise with building management or external suppliers regarding maintenance issues or facility requirements to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Provide general support to various departments as needed by assisting with ad hoc projects or events that require front-of-house coordination.
  • Uphold confidentiality at all times when handling sensitive information relating to staff members or business operations.

What you bring:

To excel as a Corporate Receptionist in this organisation you will bring proven experience from similar roles where your approachable nature set you apart as someone who genuinely cares about making others feel comfortable. Your strong communication skills—both verbal and written—will enable you to respond thoughtfully whether greeting guests face-to-face or managing telephone enquiries. You’ll have developed excellent organisational habits that help you stay on top of multiple responsibilities at once while remaining calm under pressure. Familiarity with standard office software packages is important; however your true strengths lie in your ability to build rapport quickly with people from diverse backgrounds. You understand how crucial it is to treat sensitive information discreetly while always presenting yourself—and by extension—the company in the best possible light. Your readiness to adapt as needs arise ensures no two days ever feel quite the same; instead each presents fresh opportunities for connection and contribution within an inclusive team setting.

  • Demonstrated experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role within a corporate or professional services environment where high standards of presentation were maintained at all times.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills that enable you to interact considerately with clients, visitors, colleagues, and external stakeholders both in person and over the phone.
  • Strong written communication abilities for drafting emails or correspondence clearly and politely when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as familiarity with using office equipment such as multi-line phone systems, printers, scanners, and photocopiers.
  • Outstanding organisational skills that allow you to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on quality or attention to detail.
  • A friendly yet professional demeanour that helps foster positive relationships within the workplace while upholding company values of respect and inclusivity.
  • Ability to maintain discretion when dealing with confidential information or sensitive matters related to staff or business operations.
  • Experience coordinating meeting rooms or events including arranging catering or technical requirements would be advantageous but not essential.
  • A willingness to learn new systems quickly coupled with adaptability when responding to changing priorities throughout the day.
  • Commitment to supporting others by working collaboratively within a team-focused environment where everyone’s contribution is appreciated.

What sets this company apart:

This organisation stands out for its unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture where every individual feels valued for their unique perspective. Located in Perth’s vibrant CBD district—with easy access via public transport—you’ll enjoy working in modern offices designed for comfort as well as productivity.. The company places great emphasis on employee wellbeing: comprehensive support is provided through a confidential Employee Assistance Programme which offers guidance on everything from mental health concerns through financial advice. Training opportunities abound here too; whether you’re looking to refine existing skills or explore new areas of interest there’s encouragement every step of the way. Above all else this is an environment built on trust mutual respect collaboration—and one where your efforts as Corporate Receptionist will never go unnoticed but instead celebrated as vital contributions toward shared success.
