You will be welcomed into a collaborative and high-performing finance team that values accuracy, efficiency, and insight, while also offering exposure to high-impact projects such as ERP transformation. If you are looking for a role that offers both challenge and reward, this could be the next step in your career journey.
What you'll do:
As a Financial Accountant in this organisation, you will play an integral role in managing core accounting functions while contributing significantly to system enhancements and process improvements. Your day-to-day activities will involve overseeing general ledger operations, preparing key financial statements, maintaining robust internal controls, and supporting audit readiness. You will also have the opportunity to participate in major projects such as ERP migration—an experience that will broaden your technical skills while allowing you to collaborate closely with colleagues across departments. Your attention to detail will be crucial when reconciling accounts or reviewing supplier payments; meanwhile, your analytical mindset will help drive continuous improvement initiatives. By taking ownership of these responsibilities within a supportive team environment, you will not only ensure compliance but also contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s ongoing success.
- Manage all aspects of general ledger activities by preparing journals, accruals, prepayments, and ensuring timely completion of monthly close processes.
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts meticulously, investigating variances to maintain financial integrity across reporting periods.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and facilitate year-end audit requirements by providing accurate documentation and responding promptly to auditor queries.
- Maintain the fixed asset register diligently and assist with tax-related asset reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee billing processes by preparing and reviewing invoices for accuracy, completeness, and timely issuance to customers or clients.
- Take responsibility for the monthly direct debit process as well as reviewing credit card transactions via Bpoint, ensuring all payments are processed correctly and reconciled against accounts receivable records.
- Act as the first point of review for supplier payment runs every fortnight by checking for accuracy, compliance with policies, and appropriate approvals prior to final processing.
- Participate actively in ERP migration projects including user acceptance testing (UAT) and process mapping to ensure smooth transition of financial data and operational processes.
- Assist with data integrity testing across various financial and operational systems by working closely with the Financial Controller to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational finance issues using a solution-focused approach while supporting ad-hoc tasks, reconciliations, and data integrity reviews.
What you bring:
To excel as a Financial Accountant in this role, you will bring proven experience gained from working within complex business settings where attention to detail is paramount. Your academic background—supported by CA or CPA credentials—will underpin your technical expertise across all facets of financial management. You will have demonstrated your ability to manage month-end processes efficiently while upholding rigorous internal controls. Experience participating in audits or supporting statutory account preparation will further enhance your suitability. Familiarity with ERP systems—especially during periods of migration or upgrade—will allow you to contribute confidently during transformative projects. Your advanced Excel capabilities will support detailed analysis while your interpersonal skills foster positive collaboration throughout the organisation. Above all else, your proactive approach ensures that challenges are met constructively within an inclusive team environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required for this position to ensure foundational knowledge of core principles.
- CA or CPA qualification (or currently completing) demonstrates your commitment to professional standards within the field of accountancy.

- Comprehensive understanding of financial reporting requirements, accounting standards, and internal control frameworks ensures accuracy in all deliverables.
- Demonstrated proficiency in month-end processes including reconciliations and audit preparation highlights your reliability under time-sensitive conditions.
- Advanced Excel skills coupled with strong familiarity with financial systems are mandatory for effective data analysis and reporting tasks.
- Exposure to ERP implementation or upgrades—including UAT testing—is highly desirable as it reflects adaptability during periods of organisational change.
- Self-motivation combined with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments supports seamless workflow integration.
- Excellent communication skills enable you to liaise effectively with both internal stakeholders (such as department heads) and external parties (including auditors).
