What you'll do:
As a Senior Business Analyst, your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our client's projects meet the needs of their customers and align with their overall strategy. You will be responsible for acting as a Product Owner for several Financial Crime Capabilities, developing strong relationships with stakeholders from various groups. Your excellent analytical skills will be utilised in sourcing system data analysis to prepare requirement specifications and data mapping to target systems. You will also manage the development of key documents such as Business Requirement Documents and Business Process Specifications. Your role will also involve supporting Change Management and IT teams in testing, training and implementation activities.
- Act as a Product Owner for a number of Financial Crime Capabilities
- Develop close working relationships with multiple stakeholder groups
- Support the elicitation, prioritisation and validation of requirements and design of business processes
- Source system data analysis to prepare requirement specification and data mapping to target systems
- Assess change impacts to requirements across multiple and complex streams when new needs or solutions are identified
- Manage the development of Business Requirement Document, Business Process Specifications, including Functional/Non-Functional Specifications or the equivalent Agile deliverable (user stories and use cases)
- Review and update documentations in light of any new information and/or changes to initial scope, assumptions, including implications for project time, cost, quality and risk.
- Support Change Management and IT teams in testing, training and implementation activities
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Business Analyst role will bring a wealth of experience in business analysis, with at least 5 years in a similar role. You will have proven experience with large data integration projects and data analysis, including intermediate knowledge of SQL databases, query languages and conceptual data modelling. Your background in Financial Services, particularly in Financial Crime, will be highly valued. You will also have proven knowledge of Banking Product systems and experience in Agile delivery. Your strong stakeholder management skills will enable you to work effectively with senior stakeholders and external vendors.
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst for 5+ years
- Experience with large data integration projects, data analysis for 3+ years including intermediate knowledge of SQL databases, query languages and conceptual data modelling
- Experience in Financial Services for 2+ years of which 1+ year experience in Financial Crime
- Proven knowledge of Banking Product systems
- Experience in Agile delivery (2+ year), including supporting tools, e.g. Jira / Confluence
- Strong stakeholder management experience working with senior stakeholders and external vendors
- Extensive experience in business process improvement / re-engineering; data analysis; functional/non-functional analysis; and business case preparation and development
