What you'll do:

As a Payment Operations Specialist based in Sydney, you will immerse yourself in the heart of regional payment operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with colleagues across different regions to lead key projects that enhance operational efficiency. You will be responsible for rolling out innovative payment solutions tailored to local needs while serving as the main point of contact for operational queries. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you manage user acceptance testing phases, validate new processes, and address any defects swiftly. By supporting management reporting and proactively escalating risks or issues, you will help maintain robust controls throughout the operation. Additionally, your expertise will be crucial during post-implementation phases where you provide training, update documentation, and offer hands-on support to ensure seamless transitions. Success in this role comes from your ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels, share knowledge generously with team members, and consistently seek ways to improve processes for better outcomes.

  • Lead and support a variety of payment operations projects across the region, ensuring all local requirements are identified and addressed effectively.
  • Roll out new payment solutions by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners to guarantee smooth implementation and integration into existing systems.
  • Act as the primary local contact for all payment operations issues and inquiries, providing timely guidance and resolution to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities by validating solutions, tracking defects, and ensuring any issues are resolved promptly before go-live.
  • Oversee operational defect tracking processes, escalating concerns as necessary to maintain high standards of operational integrity.
  • Support management reporting by gathering relevant data, preparing insightful reports, and escalating operational risks or issues as they arise.
  • Analyse current payment operation process flows to identify areas for efficiency gains and recommend practical improvements.
  • Provide post-implementation support as a subject matter expert (SME), offering guidance and troubleshooting assistance for regional payment operations teams.
  • Drive operational readiness activities such as developing training materials, updating documentation, and supporting go-live events to ensure successful project adoption.
