Transformation & Operational Optimisation Consultant
Project Overview * Operational optimisation focus; Strong business improvement and execution capability. * Supporting Operating Model review and implementation. * Develop and implement new Ways of Working to improve efficiency and simplify operations. * Identify what work can be centralised, off-shored, migrated, or transitioned to other teams.
Key Focus Areas
- End-to-end business execution: Customer journey optimisation and operational efficiency — not just process mapping.
- Opportunity identification & change implementation: Focus on tangible improvements, not just documenting processes.
- Off shoring & migration planning:
- Identify what can be moved (and why).
- Build a case and manage the execution of transitions.
- Work with vendors, prepare Statements of Work (SOW), and conduct risk assessments (3rd party/vendor management skills).
- Standardisation & simplification:
- Analyse current ways of working.
- Standardise operational models and centralise were beneficial.
- Improve cost-to-service models.
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong business improvement and execution capability.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies (e.g., excessive rework, unclear processes, client pain points).
- Strong stakeholder coordination — able to bring the right people together to deliver outcomes.
- Skilled in training, change implementation, and resource movement planning.
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles (formal certification not required).
- Clear documentation skills for SOWs and migration plans.
- Not a technology-focused role — emphasis is Business, Workforce Design, Ways Of Working, and Workforce Optimisation.
Preferred Background
- Banking or Financial services experience (familiar with workforce/business design, Ways Of Working, and organisational optimisation).
- Experience in large-scale optimisation and operational redesign.
