What you'll do:
As Senior Risk Advisor, you’ll be at the forefront of driving effective risk management throughout the organisation. Your days will be filled with meaningful collaboration—working hand-in-hand with everyone from project teams to senior executives as you provide expert guidance on navigating current and emerging risks.
You’ll lead interactive workshops that help embed strong controls into everyday processes while keeping critical risk registers up-to-date using cutting-edge systems like Archer.

- Deliver hands-on risk advisory services to stakeholders throughout the business, ensuring seamless implementation of the Three Lines of Defence model.
- Champion change initiatives as Project Risk Representative by providing independent oversight on risks tied to portfolio projects.
- Keep a close eye on risk profiles, incidents, audit findings, and control testing results to uncover operational risk insights or issues—ensuring swift responses and timely escalation from business units.
- Facilitate engaging workshops to develop and maintain comprehensive risk registers—including project, material, business unit, and emerging risks—drawing on industry insights to inform best practice.
- Drive informed decision-making by developing and maintaining the Archer risk management system so it remains robust and user-friendly.
What you bring:
To flourish as Senior Risk Advisor in this dynamic setting, you’ll bring rich experience from roles focused on managing operational or enterprise-wide risks within superannuation or financial services organisations. Your background should include direct involvement with implementing assurance frameworks or compliance programs tailored for complex regulatory environments. You’re recognised for nurturing trusting relationships with colleagues at all levels—listening attentively before offering thoughtful advice rooted in empathy.
- A minimum of five years experience in risk management within superannuation or financial services environments is essential for this position.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk, assurance, and compliance principles gained through hands-on experience in similar sectors.
- Proven ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels to achieve shared business objectives through open communication and collaboration.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that enable you to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- A track record of contributing positively to continuous improvement initiatives while supporting innovation within established frameworks.
