Systems Analyst/Tech Business Analyst

As a Systems Analyst within the Risk Transformation team, you will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the ServiceNow GRC tool. Acting as the bridge between business requirements and technical development, you will ensure that functional specifications are clearly defined and accurately translated into actionable solutions. Your expertise will drive the delivery of high-quality functionalities that meet stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements using appropriate methodologies. Perform gap analysis to identify impacts on current processes and define future state solutions.
• Solution Design & Validation: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure business requirements are reflected in functional specifications. Conduct solution evaluations to confirm alignment with project goals.
• Testing & Change Management Support: Assist in unit testing activities, triage issues, and support change impact assessments to ensure smooth deployment.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, provide updates, and manage expectations effectively.
• Continuous Improvement: Apply critical thinking to solve problems, embrace innovation, and contribute to process improvements across the project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For:

Mandatory Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies (Agile, Lean, Waterfall).
• Hands-on experience implementing ServiceNow GRC solutions.
• Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Teams, and other collaboration platforms.
• Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with high attention to detail.
• Ability to think holistically about people, processes, and technology (systems thinking).
• Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and deliver results autonomously.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst writing requirements and user stories.
• Background in superannuation or financial services industries is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with regulatory change projects and analyzing compliance requirements.
• Relevant certifications such as IIBA qualifications (ECBA/CCBA), Agile Business Analyst Certification (CSBA/PMI ACP), or similar.
