Save job

As a Project Administrator, you will play an integral role in shaping South Australia’s future by supporting the early development and implementation of key economic initiatives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders across government agencies and industry bodies. You will be instrumental in providing strategic advice that informs decision-making at the highest levels. Your ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously will ensure successful delivery of complex projects that drive sustainable growth. By contributing to business case development and supporting event coordination efforts for major industry forums and workshops, you will help foster strong relationships across the sector. Your analogical skills will be put to use monitoring project outcomes through data-driven reporting while your communication abilities will shine as you prepare presentations for diverse audiences. This position offers you the chance to make a tangible contribution towards building a resilient industrial landscape that benefits communities across South Australia.

  • Develop and implement forward-thinking industry development strategies, projects, and initiatives across priority sectors such as green iron and steel, copper, critical minerals, and clean energy.
  • Provide timely and well-researched advice to senior leaders through discussion papers, briefing notes, correspondence responses, and cabinet submissions.
  • Coordinate or contribute to cross-agency working groups focused on capturing economic opportunities associated with South Australia’s transition to a diversified industrial landscape.
  • Support comprehensive project planning by defining objectives, scope, plans, costs, schedules, resources, and risks for assigned projects.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to adopt new templates and processes while ensuring seamless transitions of formal projects into operational teams.
  • Assist in developing robust business cases for new initiatives by evaluating options, outputs, outcomes, budget requirements, strategic alignment, financial justification, policy rationale, and recommendations.
  • Monitor and review industry development initiatives using data management tools; prepare clear summary presentations and reports to communicate impact effectively.
  • Contribute content for web platforms and other external communication channels to promote project progress and achievements.
  • Collaborate with event management colleagues to plan and coordinate industry development events such as workshops, symposiums, forums, ensuring effective facilitation and follow-up activities.
