Salesforce Developer x3 - NSW Government

Requires experience with OmniStudio, Azure DevOps, and Salesforce certifications. Strong collaboration and technical support skills essential.

Overview

The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of customized solutions on the Salesforce platform. They will collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, and end users to gather requirements and deliver solutions that align with business needs and adhere to industry best practices. Additionally, they will be accountable for providing technical support and ongoing maintenance for existing Salesforce applications and integrations.

In this role, the candidate will play a critical role in creating a digital solution for the Department's Framework. This framework encompasses a comprehensive set of regulations and guidelines that standardizes insurance activities across NSW Workers Compensation insurance, Home Building insurance and Compulsory Third-Party insurance. The goal of the framework is to maintain industry integrity, professionalism, and accountability, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the public. Key components of the framework include licensing, training, supervision, complaints, audits, and enforcement measures.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, design, and develop solutions on the salesforce platform using Apex, flow Visualforce, Lightning, and other technologies.

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to uphold the quality and performance of the solutions.

• Deploy and migrate solutions across different environments using Azure devops, ANT, change sets or other tools.

• Debug and troubleshoot issues and provide technical support and guidance to end users and stakeholders.

• Create and manage technical specifications, design documents, and user manuals for the solutions.

• Stay updated with the latest salesforce features, releases, and best practices and implement them as appropriate.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with other developers, business analysts, project managers, and end users.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in Apex programming, Flow, Visualforce, Lightning web components, SOQL, and SOSL.

• Experience in Salesforce PSS and proficient in Omnistudio & Omniscript.

• Experience in developing and using salesforce APIs, web services, and integration tools.

• Experience with CI/CD tools and Azure DevOps for automated deployments and version control.

• Knowledge of salesforce security, sharing, and governance models.

• Understanding of salesforce data model, objects, fields, and relationships.

• Proficient with salesforce development tools, such as VS Code, Developer Console, Workbench, etc.

• Ability to design and develop solutions that are scalable, reusable, and maintainable.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

• Good communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

• Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification, or equivalent hands-on experience. Certification in Salesforce Public Sector Solutions is a plus.
