An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Remuneration and Job Design Partner to join a respected organisation in Melbourne on a six-month contingent basis. What you'll do:
Lead the design and development of comprehensive job families, career pathways, and job levels that align with organisational strategy and future workforce requirements.
* Ensure consistency in job descriptions and classification standards across all departments by establishing clear guidelines and frameworks.
* Conduct thorough market bench-marking exercises as well as internal equity analyses to inform pay banding and salary structure recommendations.
* Design robust pay bands, salary structures, incentive schemes, benefits packages, and total rewards strategies tailored to diverse roles within the organisation.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership teams and the DRI project team by providing expert guidance on job design and remuneration matters.
* Facilitate engaging workshops, focus groups, and consultations with key stakeholders to gather input, build consensus, and refine proposed frameworks.
* Support change management initiatives by developing communication strategies that promote understanding and smooth adoption of new systems.
* Utilise advanced data analysis techniques to examine workforce trends, assess pay equity issues, and clarify role expectations throughout the organisation.
* Provide actionable insights based on data findings to inform policy development and decision-making processes at both strategic and operational levels.
What you'll bring:
* Demonstrated experience in designing job architectures or remuneration frameworks within complex organisations over multiple projects or assignments.
* Proven ability to conduct comprehensive market bench-marking studies as well as internal equity analyses using relevant tools or methodologies.
* Strong background in developing pay bands, salary structures, incentive schemes, benefits programmes, or total rewards strategies tailored for diverse work forces.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with experience facilitating workshops or consultations involving senior leaders or cross-functional teams.
* Expertise in supporting change management initiatives including communication planning for new HR frameworks or policies.
* Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting workforce data trends related to pay equity or role clarity for informed decision-making.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling clear presentation of complex concepts to varied audiences.
* A collaborative approach with proven ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders while maintaining project momentum.
* Previous experience working with Hay System or Mercer is advantageous but not essential; similar consulting backgrounds are also valued.
