People & Culture Administrator
Our client is seeking a People and Culture Administrator to join their Shared Services team in Melbourne. This full-time role offers an attractive salary of $65,000 and the opportunity to work within an organisation that is committed to making a difference in people's lives. The successful candidate will support People & Culture operations, recruitment, on boarding, employee life cycle processes, and compliance while maintaining confidentiality.
What you'll do:
As a People and Culture Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the People & Culture department. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing communication channels, assisting with recruitment processes, maintaining employee records, scheduling key activities related to employee life cycle, supporting program administration, and ensuring confidentiality at all times. You will be the first point of contact for general queries, demonstrating your strong interpersonal skills by providing excellent customer service.
- Manage the P&C and Member Injury mailboxes to ensure queries and follow ups are responded to in a timely manner.
- Be the first point of contact for general queries, escalating complex matters as needed.
- Assist with recruitment and selection and induction and on boarding processes for permanent staff and casuals.
- Maintain employee e-records including new starter packs.
- Schedule on boarding / off boarding and employee life cycle milestone activities.
- Support program administration and systems and database maintenance activities.
- Assist with Shared Services communications including adhoc events, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that confidentiality with respect to all HR processes and information is always maintained.
What you bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources; Industrial Relations; Business; Management or a related discipline (or working towards) and/or experience in a compliance administration role or similar for 12+ months.
- Experience across Martian logic, Culture Amp and Monday.com or similar platforms
- High attention to detail, proactive communication, and adherence to confidentiality standards in HR processes and systems administration.
- Strong administrative precision with people-focused tasks.
- Proactive professional with strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of and complete commitment to confidentiality.
- Excellent PC skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Must have or be able to obtain an employee Working with Children Check.
- Experience with RTW is advantageous but not essential
