An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation based in Adelaide, where your expertise will shape the future of people, culture, and safety across both national and international teams. Reporting directly to the General Manager People, Culture & Safety, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing key HR strategies that align with the company’s strategic business plan.

This is your chance to make a meaningful impact by fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent. You will lead a dedicated HR team, collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organisational capability. With a strong focus on professional development, flexible working opportunities, and a commitment to quality-driven outcomes, this role offers you the platform to grow your career while making a real difference.

What you'll do:

  • Establish and evaluate key performance objectives for the HR team in line with annual and long-term business goals, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain commercial focus throughout the business unit by supporting innovation, technological advancement, change initiatives, and cost control measures.
  • Assist in managing the team budget by preparing annual budgets, monitoring expenditure, preparing reports and forecasts, and recommending actions to senior leadership.
  • Optimise resource efficiency to ensure resourcing levels are balanced with business needs and financial requirements while mentoring team members for professional development.
  • Promote close collaboration across global offices to ensure consistent delivery of HR services and alignment with organisational values.
  • Provide high-level advice to internal stakeholders on human resource change issues that support operational objectives and drive organisational capability building.
  • Coordinate remuneration guidance including benchmarking, salary reviews, incentive schemes, payroll compliance, and liaising with finance for accurate reporting.
  • Oversee recruitment processes to ensure effective onboarding and integration of new employees into the organisation’s culture.
  • Coach managers on performance management systems using collaborative approaches to address performance gaps and support staff development.
  • Ensure training and development activities meet current and future needs by building relationships with providers, overseeing learning management systems, and coordinating external training.

What you bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology or Employment Law discipline providing a solid foundation for understanding complex people-related matters.
  • Extensive experience in human resource management within fast-growing or global organisations with particular emphasis on change management practices.
  • Proven track record integrating organisational development strategies with business needs to address current challenges while preparing for future growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and develop staff within a collaborative HR delivery environment focused on teamwork.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary organisational development theory as well as practical experience designing cultural change interventions.
  • Strong understanding of current industrial relations trends including award interpretation, relevant legislation compliance, payroll processes, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
  • Impeccable interpersonal skills enabling you to build trust-based relationships across all levels of the organisation as well as external partners such as recruitment agencies or training providers.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills essential for collaborating internally with teams or externally with suppliers or representative bodies.
  • Financial acumen demonstrated through experience managing budgets or supporting financial planning within an HR context.
  • High level of accuracy combined with attention to detail when maintaining records or overseeing compliance-related activities.

This organisation stands out for its unwavering commitment to nurturing talent within a genuinely inclusive environment where collaboration is celebrated at every level. Employees benefit from flexible working opportunities designed around individual needs alongside access to ongoing training programmes that support both personal growth and career progression. As part of this team-oriented culture you’ll find yourself surrounded by knowledgeable professionals who are passionate about making a difference.
