What you'll do:
In the role of SIAM Solution Architect you will serve as a vital conduit between business imperatives and technical execution.
- Devise comprehensive IT solutions that provide enduring value and relevance for clients across multiple sectors.
- Engage closely with sales, consulting, practice teams, suppliers and partners to scope, estimate, architect and deliver projects that fulfil business requirements whilst ensuring cost-effectiveness and feasibility.
- Formulate technical designs that introduce enhanced tooling, streamlined operations and improved capabilities for clients.
- Contribute expert content for client proposals and tenders - including detailed scope definitions and pricing - to facilitate successful project acquisition.
- Support the delivery of complex or high-profile projects by providing subject matter expertise throughout all phases of engagement.
- Uphold standards and best practices within the team by maintaining current documentation and actively disseminating insights within the broader community of practice.
- Guide team members by assisting them in meeting deadlines, setting realistic client expectations and developing specialised skills collectively.
- Assist in the creation of reusable pre-sales artefacts each quarter to optimise future engagements and enhance organisational offerings.
- Present thought leadership through blogs, webinars, social media posts, or industry events on a regular basis to showcase both individual and team capabilities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for key client accounts by understanding their present needs and future aspirations whilst advocating internally on their behalf.
What you bring:
To succeed as a SIAM Solution Architect, you will bring substantial experience from across the IT domain - encompassing consulting assignments through to enterprise service management.
- Possess at least 10 years’ experience within the IT sector accompanied by 5 years’ direct involvement across multiple technology domains.
- Demonstrate a proven record in client-facing consulting or pre-sales roles where translating business challenges into effective technical solutions was paramount.
- Exhibit the ability to interface with senior business leaders as well as technical personnel across varied organisations with confidence and decorum.
- Display extensive experience collating design artefacts, formulating technology strategies and contributing substantively to large-scale tender submissions.
- Hold a deep understanding of IT or Enterprise Service Management principles acquired through previous positions at managed service providers or systems integrators serving diverse clienteles.
- Showcase expertise in cloud-native architectures - including public cloud PaaS/IaaS models - as well as REST APIs, microservices frameworks, open-source platforms—and their application in addressing business needs.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills complemented by strong interpersonal abilities that foster collaboration within teams.
- Be adept at diagrammatically representing processes or workflows; skilled at preparing clear technical documentation for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Exhibit a willingness to learn continuously whilst adapting effectively under pressure in complex environments involving multiple stakeholders.
- Maintain working knowledge of ICT systems such as Private/Public Cloud environments (Linux/Unix/Wintel), DBA/Middleware/Firewall/Networks/Storage integrations; familiarity with ServiceNow modules (ITSM/ITBM/ITOM/HRSD/CSM/SecOps/IRM/PA) is highly desirable.
