Excellent opportunity to join a leading T1 consultancy as a Senior Civil Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a highly respected civil engineering team based in Perth. This role offers you the chance to work on some of Western Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects, ranging from complex upgrades of existing facilities to large-scale new builds.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver detailed designs for a variety of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring all work meets relevant standards and client expectations.
  • Participate in all stages of the project life cycle, including planning, concept development, detailed design, construction support, and asset management activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to graduate engineers, supporting their professional development within the team environment.
  • Engage with clients as a key point of contact, offering expert advice and maintaining strong relationships throughout each project phase.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, specifications, drawings, and documentation required for project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Main Roads Western Australia design standards and other relevant regulatory requirements in all aspects of design and documentation.
  • Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to achieve successful outcomes for both clients and stakeholders.
  • Support project management activities by coordinating with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and authorities as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within project delivery workflows and actively participate in implementing best practices across the team.

What you bring:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent qualification recognised within Australia.
  • Possess between five to eight years’ experience working on civil engineering projects focused on roads, highways, or related infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in designing according to Main Roads Western Australia standards or similar regulatory frameworks.
  • A proven track record of working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams on complex engineering assignments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, contractors, and stakeholders alike.
  • Experience preparing comprehensive technical documentation including reports, specifications, drawings, and tender submissions.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development coupled with a willingness to mentor junior staff members as they progress in their careers.
  • Strong organisational abilities allowing you to manage competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail across multiple projects.
