The Opportunity
We are seeking a self-driven and autonomous Technical Procurement Officer to support design, engineering, field operations and finance. This pivotal role is responsible for sourcing equipment and materials, managing supplier relationships, overseeing goods receival, and maintaining optimal stock levels to support project delivery.
You’ll work closely with engineering and field teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement across a wide range of technical disciplines. A strong general understanding of various trades is valuable. In addition to day-to-day purchasing responsibilities, you’ll play an active role in reviewing and improving procurement systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Source materials, tools, and equipment to support project execution.
- Apply technical understanding across trades to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Build and manage supplier relationships, including negotiation and contract review.
- Ensure cost control and alignment with project budgets and financial goals.
- Oversee goods receival and coordinate with project stakeholders.
- Maintain efficient stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Contribute to process improvements and procurement system optimisation.
