What you'll do:
As a Senior Business Analyst/Business Designer based in Sydney, you will play an integral part in driving successful outcomes for large-scale transformation programmes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with various teams to ensure that every solution is designed with both the customer journey and organisational strategy in mind. You will map out complex ecosystems, identify interdependencies between projects, validate new technologies or processes against desired outcomes, and facilitate alignment across multiple initiatives. - Ensure that programme and project business solutions are grounded in best practice business and process architecture while being informed by both customer feedback and business insights to achieve intended outcomes.
- Clearly articulate the broader business context and ecosystem within which each solution must operate, providing clarity for all stakeholders involved.
- Identify cross-programme dependencies, synergies, and opportunities with a particular focus on integrating technology solution elements effectively.
- Maintain alignment across a portfolio of known changes to ensure consistency with strategic objectives and overarching business plans.
- Work collaboratively with Programme Managers, Project Managers, and Change Managers to deliver agreed solutions in ways that centre both business requirements and customer experience.
- Validate that any proposed technology or business changes enable the achievement of desired business outcomes through rigorous analysis.
- Engage in stakeholder management activities across diverse groups including C-Suite executives, subject matter experts, and technology representatives to ensure buy-in and effective communication.
- Shape and define complex solutions spanning products, channels, value chains, business functions, and technology platforms.
- Apply human-centred design (HCD), customer experience (CX), user experience (UX), and design thinking methodologies throughout the solution lifecycle.

- At least five years’ experience in environments where establishing business value was key—this includes conducting root cause analyses as well as creating operating models or designing processes for data-driven service improvements.
- Solid understanding of general insurance industry practices along with relevant knowledge of associated regulations or market trends.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills demonstrated through effective engagement with diverse groups ranging from C-Suite leaders to subject matter experts and IT professionals.
- Experience shaping complex solutions that span products, channels, value chains, business operations, and technology landscapes within large organisations.
- A collaborative mindset evidenced by strong relationship-building abilities; you are recognised as someone who influences positively through co-operation rather than authority.
- Familiarity with human-centred design (HCD), customer experience (CX), user experience (UX), or design thinking approaches applied within real-world projects.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in fields such as design, business management, information technology or related disciplines; additional certifications in process architecture are highly regarded.
- Desirable: Consulting background or experience within professional services environments; Diploma of Insurance; Certified Business Analyst credentials.
