Facilities/Space Planning Officer

A leading organisation in South Australia is seeking a Facilities/Space Planning Officer to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of consistent standards across various office spaces while collaborating with key stakeholders.
About the Role:
As the Facilities/Space Planning Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising learning and office environments. Your expertise in space utilisation, facilities planning, and compliance frameworks will ensure that all spaces meet organisational needs and government standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply proven experience in space and facilities planning/management, particularly within learning environments.
- Demonstrate good understanding of educational institution facilities management guidelines, space utilisation principles, and government policies.
- Ensure compliance with government occupancy guidelines and framework.
- Develop processes and interpret CAD drawings
- Maintain knowledge of WHS standards relevant to educational and office spaces.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions.
What you would bring to the role:
- Ability to combine technical expertise with excellent communication skills.
- Work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders while maintaining a focus on delivering quality outcomes.
- Background in space planning, facilities management, or architecture/drafting
- Be able to thrive in dynamic environments.
- Leverage prior experience from educational settings with established space management practices.
