Role: Cyber Security Project Manager Rate: $925 + super a day Length: June 2026 Location: Brisbane CBD An exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Project Manager to deliver a large-scale, complex vulnerability remediation initiative within a highly respected public sector environment.

You'll be doing:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major cyber security vulnerability remediation project, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations across a large public sector organisation.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary ICT teams and provide expert advice on project deliverables, governance artefacts, and change management processes, all while maintaining compliance with established policies and frameworks.

  • Develop comprehensive project documentation including detailed plans, schedules, governance risk registers, and regular progress reports for key stakeholders.

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience managing large-scale ICT or cyber security projects throughout their full lifecycle within complex organisational environments.

  • High-level knowledge of recognised project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, with proven application in real-world scenarios.

  • Exceptional negotiation skills combined with well-developed written and verbal communication abilities for engaging diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Demonstrated capability in developing strategies, frameworks, plans, and supporting informed decision-making on complex project issues.

  • Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams towards successful delivery against agreed budgets and schedules while maintaining high morale.

  • Experience preparing comprehensive governance artefacts including risk registers, status reports, change management documents, and other core materials.

  • Familiarity with vulnerability management platforms such as Rapid 7, Microsoft SecureScore, Microsoft Defender or Privileged Access Management tools is highly regarded.

  • Understanding of industry standards like the ASD Essential Eight Strategies for mitigating cyber security incidents is desirable.

  • Ability to mentor team members by fostering an inclusive environment that encourages learning and professional development.
